Cold weather is back! Snowmaking has resumed back on Boris to give us adequate base depths for training! Snowmaking and grooming crews are hard at work laying down some great snow, please thank them for thier efforts as you see them this weekend.
Each week we will be posting the training schedule on this blog. You should check the blog each week to update all Race Program info. This winter has been challenging, conditions and weather has been variable to say the least. Our training schedule is posted each week and is based on weather, snow conditions and other factors. If you have GS and slalom skis, you should be ready to train either one of these events anmd have your equipment ready in case there is a change in plans.
Saturday 1/7 all groups will be training slalom.
- J-I & J-II (High School) Slalom skis, pole and shin guards, helmets with face guards will be needed.
- J-III & J-IV (Middle School) We will be in 2 groups- If you have skied slalom before and have Slalom skis, pole and shin guards, helmets with face guards please bring them. If you have not skied slalom before, there will be an intro group. We will determine which group you are in based on past experience and equipment you own.
- J-V & J VI (Developmental team) We will train slaom using brushes and/or stubbie gates.
The weather is looking to be moderate temperatures (low 30's) for Saturday & Sunday with snow flurries all weekend. There is a chance for a snow storm coming in Friday.
See you Saturday.
